Our beliefs and core values:

• We are Evangelical Christians who subscribe to the statement of faith as outlined by the Evangelical Fellowship of Canada.
• Based on the Great CommissionThen Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age." Matthew 28:18-20 of Jesus, our primary task is discipling the next generation. We define Christian Education as the means to disciple and prepare our children to become successful Christians for their God-given destiny in this world.
• We are committed to Biblical and Christian Worldview integration in every subject, skill and discipline.
• We believe that the parent is the primary authority in the lives of their children and are responsible for their children’s education and discipleship whether they home educate or seek the help of Christian school institutions.

About our host and educator Greg Bitgood:

Greg Bitgood became involved with Christian Education in 1987 as a director of Heritage Christian School and in 1997 was appointed Superintendent. In the same year, Greg and his wife, Christine, founded Heritage Christian Preschool. In 2004, Greg started Heritage Christian Online School, a British Columbia accredited distance learning program for students K to 12. It is now Canada’s largest Christian Online School and is having a world-wide impact. Greg is a director for the Western Canadian division of the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI).

Greg continues to serve as the Pastor of Christian Education for Kelowna Christian Center where he has served in ministry since 1986. He has authored papers and articles, and several books. His latest book, “Discipling this Generation for a Digital World” can be purchased at www.ChristianThinker.org. Greg lives in Kelowna, British Columbia with his wife of 25 years. They have four grown children who are all strong in their faith and pursuing God’s plan for their lives.
